1. Acceptance

By using LightWork Finance ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

LightWork Finance is a personal finance tracking app. It helps you log transactions, track budgets, and use AI-powered features to understand your spending. It is provided for personal use only.

LightWork Finance is not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• You sign in through Google — you're responsible for keeping your Google account secure
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter
• You may only use the Service for lawful personal purposes

4. Free plan

A free tier is available at no cost. We reserve the right to adjust what's included in the free tier over time. We'll make reasonable efforts to give advance notice of significant changes.

5. Pro subscription

• Pro is available monthly ($3.99/month) or annually ($39.99/year), billed in advance through Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically — you can cancel anytime from your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then.
• We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods
• If we change Pro pricing, existing subscribers will get at least 30 days notice before any change takes effect

6. AI features

AI Import, Roast Me, and AI Monthly Review are powered by Anthropic's Claude. By using these features you understand that:

• A summary of your relevant spending data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response
• Anthropic does not use API data for model training and deletes API request logs within 7 days
• AI output can be inaccurate — always review AI Import results before saving them
• The Roast Me feature is for entertainment and motivation — it is not financial advice
• AI feature availability is subject to daily limits based on your plan
• Use of AI features is also subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service
• Upload malicious files through the AI Import feature
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits

8. Your data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You can export your data as CSV or delete your account at any time from the app settings. Account deletion is permanent.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Use it as a helpful tool, not as your only financial record. We recommend exporting your data regularly as a backup.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LightWork Finance shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including financial losses or decisions made based on information in the app. Our total liability for any claim won't exceed the amount you've paid us in the past three months, or $10, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account anytime from the app settings — this permanently removes your data.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
